I'm a Neutrogena Girl

One of the reasons I started this blog was to help keep a record of a self-renewal project I've recently decided to start. Like probably all of the rest of you, I've got bad habits that need breaking and talents that I think are being wasted because I'm not taking full advantage of opportunities. And so, for my first step on the "Better Laura" project, I'm tackling my skin!

I've never really had bad skin -- I wasn't an Accutane teenager or anything -- but at 26, I'm still getting pretty regular zits. I know that part of the reason for that is that I'm sloppy with my skin care. I forget to take my make-up off before I go to bed sometimes, I pick at my face -- you've probably all been there! So, as of this week, I've bought some new products and am ready to go! Here's what I'm using!

In the mornings:

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. (As you'll soon figure out in this post, I live and die by Neutrogena products!) I've also seen this recently in a pink grapefruit scent that I really want to try.

And in the evenings...

First, Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes. These make it so easy to get all of my make-up off, even my eye make-up (it's labeled "opthamalogist tested," so I feel like it's safe for my eyes). These smell good, too. And then...

Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser (to try to tighten up those pores and deep-clean my skin), finally followed by:

Spot Treatment Gel (to zap those ugly zits. I'm a professional, for goodness sake!)

So, fingers crossed -- I'm still getting zits here and there, but that's really normal for me in the summertime. But so far I'm already noticing that my skin is smoother and less blotchy ... we'll hope it continues to improve!
